One Shilling for Hope: inside our April outreach day
Every April, our team sets up collection points at schools, shops, and churches across Kampala for One Shilling for Hope — our ongoing campaign to fund therapy, equipment, and everyday essentials for children with Cerebral Palsy and Autism.
This year's outreach day brought in diapers, bread, and other in-kind gifts, alongside coins and notes gathered one shilling at a time.
Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.
— Proverbs 19:17
None of this reaches a child by accident. Our staff carry it — sometimes by boda-boda, sometimes on foot — directly to the families who need it, the same day it's given.
If your school, church, or shop would like to host a collection point, get in touch — it takes one conversation to start.
